PASTOR TONYA TOBE
Newly installed Pastor, Tonya Tobe, began as Lead Pastor of Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene on June 3, 2024. Pastor Tonya, a native Washingtonian, was born and raised in Ward 8. She is also proud graduate of Ballou Senior High School. Pastor Tonya has a passion for preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her desire is to see the lives of God’s people transformed as they hear the truth of Scripture and surrender to the cleansing and empowering work of the Holy Spirit. She also has a heart for the community and embraces every opportunity to minister outside of the walls of the church building. Pastor Tonya is joined by her husband and devoted Ministry partner, Alvin Tobe!
OUR CHURCH
Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene was founded by Rev. Tom Nees in 1975 as a compassionate ministry with specific emphasis on aiding those devasted by homelessness, substance abuse, and hopelessness. Over the past three decades, Community of Hope has evolved into a ministry that continues to strive to empower those who feel powerless!

We are Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene, commissioned to take the good news of life in Jesus Christ to people everywhere and to spread the message of scriptural holiness across the lands. We are focused on the "GOAL", which means we will: Worship God with all our hearts, souls, minds and strength. Love One Another as Christ has loved us; and seek to reach the Lost and aid in the action of God to change lives for
